Site work for a water / sewer project in Lombard, Illinois. Conceptual plans call for site work for a water / sewer project.
The Village anticipates the construction of a new water storage facility in the south end of the community that will add capacity to a high growth area. This storage will offset the loss of storage due to the decommissioning of the Central Station Reservoir. The Village has identified a site for the tower along Butterfield Road. The Village has received a funding commitment of $4,000,000 from the Rebuild Illinois Capital Bill for the project. The project includes rehabilitation of the 10" and 12" water main along Butterfield Road. This project is included in the Village of Lombard's FY 2024-2033 Capital Improvement Plan. As of August 12, 2024, per owner, the project has not yet been contracted for design, but they are likely to use a design-build contract, with construction anticipated for 2025. *Project information has been obtained through a public capital improvement plan (CIP). A CIP is a financial schedule for short- and long-range projects which is updated regularly. Information listed in the CIP often evolves based on funding availability and the project details, including timeline and value, are subject to change.
