A. The work in this contract is for the Sanitary Sewer Phase 84 Rehabilitation for Clear Lake City Water Authority located in Industrial Park C; along Bay Area Blvd; Space Center Blvd; HL&P Easement behind University of Houston - Clear Lake; and Oakbrook 2 and 3. The purpose of this project is to improve the conditions of sanitary sewer lines in the aforementioned locations, improving sanitary sewer flow and reducing sanitary sewer overflows in the area.
B. In general, this work consists of: 1. Pre-television of lines to be repaired by point repair, internal point repair, combination repair, service repair, or cured-in-place pipe.
2. Pipe bursting of sanitary sewer lines including service reconnections in kind, drop stack reconnections, and cleanout replacements.
3. Rehabilitation of sanitary sewer lines by point repair, internal point repair, combination repair, and/or service repair.
4. Rehabilitation of sanitary sewer lines by cured-in-place pipe installation including service reconnections in kind.
5. Trench safety as required per Section 01516.
6. Implementation and maintenance of traffic control.
7. Site restoration including removal and replacement of damaged sidewalks, driveways, concrete patios, wooden decks, pavement, irrigation lines, turf, plants, shrubs, fences, trees, damaged traffic signaling equipment and other miscellaneous items.
8. Removal and replacement of pavement including subgrade, curb and gutter, and pavement markings as necessary.
9. Bypass pumping, as necessary, throughout the project. C. Contractor shall be required to replace the services up to the easement or right-of-way line. The length of each service repair will vary depending on the location of the main line. Any services that cross under the street shall be replaced to the edge of the pavement. Service reconnection diameter shall match existing diameter.
D. All existing dead services shall not be reconnected.
E. Contractor is to notify Engineer if any trees need to be removed during work.
F. The existing lines may consist of concrete encasement around pipe. Any additional effort to remove existing concrete shall be incidental to the project.
G. Contractor shall submit a bypass pumping plan as a submittal to the Engineer for review in accordance with the requirements of Section 01540 - Diversion Pumping. Roll call will happen at the beginning of the meeting and as people join. Please be prepared to verbally state and type in the WebEx chat you name, Company name, email, and phone number so that attendees may be documented.
