PROJECT/WORK IDENTIFICATION: General: Project name is RENOVATIONS OF FOSTER-JOHNSON HEALTH CENTER AND COUNSELING CENTER, GRAMBLING STATE UNIVERSITY, GRAMBLING, LOUISIANA. as shown on Contract Documents prepared by WHITTINGTON ARCHITECTS INC. Drawings and Specifications are dated January 13, 2023. The work includes demolition of the existing walls, flooring, ceilings, plumbing, electrical, etc., as shown on the drawings and as required to complete the work, installation of new walls, doors, flooring, ceiling, painting, millwork, repairing exterior wood, metal gutters and downspouts, cleaning and repairing windows, pressure washing brick and concrete foundations, plumbing, electrical and modifications to HVAC, etc. The existing ceramic tile shall be carefully removed, cleaned, stored for reuse. New ceramic tile shall be chosen to complement the existing. Items Provided by the Owner and Contractor Installed: None Bids for Public Works will not be considered or accepted unless the bid is accompanied by bid security in an amount of not less than five percent (5%) of the sum of the Base Bid and any Alternates. The bid security shall be in the form of a certified check drawn on a bank insured by the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation, or a bid bond written by a surety company licensed to do business in Louisiana, accompanied by appropriate power of attorney and in favor of Grambling State University. Performance and Payment Bonds shall be required on Public Works projects with an expected cost greater than $50,000.
