The Shenandoah Raw Water Line Project - Three Springs Road to Longley Road consists of constructing approximately 15,420 LF of 24-inch ductile iron raw waterline. The project is located east of Harrisonburg, beginning at Three Springs Road (Route 50) and continuing west through crop and pasture lands to Longley Road (Route 657). The scope of work has been fully defined in the ITB Manual, Technical Specifications and construction drawings that have been issued jointly by the City of Harrisonburg (Owner) and the consultant engineer, Wiley|Wilson. Specific attention will be required to meet stakeholder requirements as it pertains to the Harrisonburg Department of Public Utilities (HPU), eight (8) private land owners, Virginia Department of Transportation (VDOT) for right-of-way permitting, Shenandoah Valley Electric Coop, Rockingham County Erosion & Sediment Control, Rockingham County Fire Office for blasting permitting and the Army Corps of Engineers. A bid security in the amount of five percent (5%) of the bid value will be required with the bid submittal. Bid security must be in the form of a cashier's check, certified check or a bid bond issued by a surety.
