For the second time in five months, the Pittsburgh Downtown Partnership is looking for public input as it shapes the future use of streets in the Golden Triangle. The partnership announced Wednesday it will conduct an online survey through May 15 on six proposed principles to guide development of its Downtown Pittsburgh Mobility Plan. That's the next step in the agency's year-long study to develop plans to improve pedestrian access, increase transit and reduce the number of single-occupancy vehicles in the central business district. In addition to the proposed guidelines, the partnership released a 26-page study that shows the concerns and preferences of more than 110,000 daily commuters to Downtown and more than 15,000 people who live in the Greater Downtown Area, which also includes Uptown, South Shore, North Shore, the Strip District and Lower Hill.
