Work in this Contract comprises the replacement of Culvert No. 677. The work shall include, but not be limited to: - Access and protection for the work; - Supply, installation, maintenance, and removal of traffic control devices for vehicles and pedestrians; - Implementation of tree protection, erosion and sediment control measures; - Supply, installation, maintenance, and removal of temporary flow passage system and dewatering to isolate the work areas; - Locate, protect, and support existing utilities within the work zones; - Supply, installation, and removal of roadway protection/shoring for staged construction; - Partial/full depth removal of asphalt and replacement with new asphalt pavement; - Place/obliterate temporary/permanent pavement markings; - Replacement of concrete sidewalks, concrete curb and gutters, and steel beam guide rail to limits shown on the Contract Drawings; - Removal of concrete parapet walls and construction of new concrete head walls / parapet walls with railing; - Earth/rock excavation for structure and removal; - Removal of existing concrete box culvert and construction of new precast concrete open footing culvert on concrete footings; - Removal of existing reinforced concrete retaining walls and construction of new concrete retaining walls on spread footings; - Supply and place waterproofing on top of new culvert; - Replace sections of storm sewer and connect to new structures as shown on Contract Drawings; - Excavate and place new rock protection at culvert inlet and outlet, and construct low-flow channel within new culvert; - De-energize, relocate, and reinstate street light pole as shown on Contract Drawings; - Remove, replace, and relocate existing cable chamber to facilitate construction of new culvert; - Apply concrete surface sealer on all exposed cast-in-place concrete surfaces; - Site restoration; and - Other miscellaneous works as identified in the Contract documents.
