The work to be done under this contract shall be started on or about September 14, 2020. All work under this contract shall be completed by December 1, 2023. The work under this contract is to be performed on: Tri-State Tollway (I-294) between Mile Post 35.04 and Mile Post 36.70 in Cook County, Illinois. The work under this contract shall consist of: Widening and reconstruction of the Tri-State Tollway (I-294) from PR I-294 CL Sta. 1853+10.00 to EX I-294 CL Sta. 1918+00.00; Reconstruction of the Tri-State Tollway (I-294) BNs 285 & 286 over Grand Avenue; Reconstruction of the Tri-State Tollway (I-294) BNs 287 & 288 over the UPRR; Construction of Ramp S2 BN 1659, the exit ramp from NB Tri-State Tollway (I-294) to NB EOWA (I-490) roadway and structure; Construction of Ramp S1 BN1658, the entrance ramp from SB WA (I-490) to SB Tri-State Tollway (I-294) roadway and structure; Construction of median and outside retaining walls; ITS infrastructure; Relocation of Franklin Park utilities; Drainage improvements; Temporary lighting and permanent lighting; Maintenance of traffic operations; Installation of permanent pavement marking and signing; Erosion control measures and landscaping improvements; Protection of existing utilities within the construction zones; Temporary and permanent traffic signals at the intersection of County Line Road and Grand Avenue; Installation of underpass lighting on Grand Avenue; grading Pond S1/S2; Wolf Road BN 289 bridge deck repairs; and closure of the Tri-State Tollway (I-294) existing median crossover located from EX Sta. 1934+00.00 to Sta. 1940+54.42. A completed Questionnaire and a statement of current contractual obligations on forms supplied by the Illinois Tollway will be required from the apparent low Bidder once the apparent low Bidder is determined. Each Bid must be accompanied by a Bid Guaranty in the amount of five (5%) per cent of the total amount shown in the bid for the contract. The Bid Guaranty shall be in the form of an acceptable bid bond or a bank draft, certified check or cashier check drawn on a solvent bank made payable to the Illinois State Toll Highway Authority.
