The authority also approved a $6.9 million contract for the fourth phase of the St. Johns River Ferry improvements with Cocoa-based C&D Construction. Funded primarily through a grant from the Federal Transit Administration, the project will install new bulkheads at the Mayport and Fort George landings as well as improvements to adhere to Americans with Disabilities Act regulations. The federal grant will cover 80 percent of the cost of the project, while JTA will fund the remaining cost. __________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________
Design and construction services necessary to support the long-term operational, maintenance, safety, and customer-service needs of the St. Johns River Ferry (SJRF). This project involves landside and waterside infrastructure and facilities improvements at each of the respective ferry landings Price Proposals must be received no later than 2:00 P.M. on July 28, 2020.
