The proposed project has been conceived to construct a quarry water intake structure, raw water pumping system, and raw waterlines to the new filtration plant site. A Progressive Design Build delivery, following the Authoritys Design- Build Procedures, is being sought for this Project in order to meet the required timeframe for construction, achieve the benefit of design flexibility and to allow Authority to work in partnership with the selected Design-Builder for the most cost effective and reliable solution. One objective of the Project is to provide 8.3 MGD of raw water from the East Pit quarry to the new WTP in order to serve the customers of the Authoritys water system. The following outlines the anticipated outcome of the Project; East Pit Quarry raw water intake; Raw Water pumping system; Raw waterline from the pumping system to a tie-in point outside of the new WTP; Project Schedule: It is anticipated that the Progressive Design-Build Contract will be executed on or about August 21, 2020. The design, permitting, construction and performance testing of the completed Project are expected to be completed no later than December 15, 2021.
