Site work and paving for a mixed-use development in Oakland, California. Completed plans call for site work for a sidewalk / parking lot; for paving for a sidewalk / parking lot; road / highway; and road / highway.

The proposed work consists of the following improvements and repair: approximately 100,000 SF of concrete sidewalk replacement; 180 curb ramp installations; 600 SF of retrofitting detectable warning dome pavers, 1800 LF of concrete curb replacement; 2,600 SF of concrete gutter replacement; 3,200 SF of concrete driveway replacement; 30,000 SF of tree root pruning; and other work specifically shown in the project bid documents. Responses to written questions will be issued by addendum no later than Monday, May 25, 2020, by 2:00 PM. In particular: - No contractor or subcontractor may be listed on a bid proposal for a public works project unless registered with the DIR pursuant to Labor Code section 1725.5 [with limited exceptions from this requirement for bid purposes only under Labor Code section 1771.1(a)]. - No contractor or subcontractor may be awarded a contract for public work on a public works project (awarded on or after April 1, 2015) unless registered with the DIR pursuant to Labor Code section 1725.5. - This project is subject to compliance monitoring and enforcement by the DIR. - The prime contractor must post job site notices prescribed by regulation. - Assembly Bill 219 requires companies hauling or delivering ready-mix concrete to register with the DIR as a public works contractor.
