Kenton County Fiscal Court (Owner) is soliciting lump-sum bids for furnishing labor, materials, and performing all work for the Kenton County, Independence Courthouse Phase 2 Renovation. The Project consists of but is not limited to reworking of downspout transitions to storm piping, exterior metal fascia / box gutter removal / replacement, exterior parapet architectural detail restoration, exterior steel stair revisions, courtroom interior finishes renovation, lightning protection, and other work indicated in the Contract Documents, as set forth in the Construction Documents prepared by the Architect. Bidders shall notify the Architect GRW Jimmy Piper by email jpiper@grwinc.com if they find a discrepancy or omission in the drawings or specifications, or if the Bidder is in doubt as to the meaning of any drawing or specification. Written clarification in the form of addenda will be issued to all know planholders. No addenda or clarifications will be issued less than four calendar days before the bid date. Successful bidder shall commence Work within 14 calendar days of receipt of Notice of Award. The Work shall be completed in 120 days Substantial Completion, and 30 days to achieve Final Completion. Work is subject to liquidated damages at the rate of $250.00 per day for work not fully complete beyond 150 days. Bidders Qualifications: Bidders must be properly licensed under the laws governing their respective trades and be able to obtain insurance and bonds required for the Work. A Performance Bond, separate Labor and Material Payment Bond, and Insurance in a form acceptable to Owner will be required of the successful Bidder. COVID-19 precations: When on site follow all current Federal, State and Local precaution requirements including pre bid walkthoughs and off site meetings. Prebid walk through minimum requirements include maintaining 6 feet separtion between each person and whereing a mask covering the nose/mouth.
