Renovation of an educational facility in Stella, Ontario. Completed plans call for the renovation of a educational facility.
This Request for Quotations (the RFQ) is an invitation by the Limestone District School Board (the Board) to prospective respondents to submit non-binding quotations for two projects (1) Building Envelope Repairs (2) Boiler Upgrades at Amherst Island Public School, as further described in Section A of the RFQ Particulars (Appendix D) (the Deliverables). (1) Building Envelope Repairs: The scope of work includes for the rehabilitation of a portion of the exterior wall of the existing school and would be considered phase 1 of a multi-phased implementation. The scope of work includes for the removal of existing asbestos containing stucco finish and the installation of new fiber cement siding and trim through the area of work. Associated work includes window replacement on the affected elevation, replacement of all existing aluminum framed windows with new aluminum framed windows, replacement of existing steel framed entrance screen and door with new aluminum framed entrance screen and door and associated interior finishing resulting from the window replacement. (2) Boiler Upgrades: The scope of this project is to replace the oil-fired boiler system with a propane fired system.
