The purpose of this contract is to provide engineering and related services to King County Department of Natural Resources and Parks, Water and Land Resources Division, River and Floodplain Management Section ("County") serving as a service provider to the King County Flood Control District (District) to identify the areas along river corridors where containment levee systems may be vulnerable to breaching placing people, property and infrastructure at risk. The purpose of this contract is to complete the mapping and risk assessment portion of the Levee Breach Analysis (Project). The project was initiated with a data gaps compilation in 2018 that consisted of gathering information and assessing existing data including its suitability to the mapping and risk assessment analysis. This initial effort provided recommendations for additional work needed to fully execute the levee breach analysis which are presented in a report titled Levee Breach Analysis for King County Rivers, final 2019 (King County 2019). The results and recommendations presented in the 2019 report form the basis for this work scope. Estimated Period of Performance: 2.5 years The method of contractor selection has not been determined at this time.
