Renovation of a detention facility in Reidsville, North Carolina. Completed plans call for the renovation of a 42,485-square-foot, one-story above grade detention facility.

The awarded vendor shall provide NCDPS with the non-security doors, frames, and hardware in Division 8 as well as some furnishings specified in Division 10. The work shall be performed in accordance with the included NCDPS Scope of Work document, and in accordance with the included Contract Drawings and Specifications dated 03/03/2020. Any scope of work-related questions, clarifications, or assumptions made that would change the drawings or specifications shall be submitted during the bid package review period. Responses to pre-bid scope of workrelated questions, clarifications, or assumptions will be issued in an addendum so that all bidders have an opportunity to review. It shall be the responsibility of the bidder to deliver their sealed bid to the proper location and at the appointed place and time for the bid opening. Late delivery for any reason including late delivery by the US Postal Service or other delivery service shall disqualify the bid. NCDPS requires that, for construction contracts with a value of $5000 or greater, the contractor shall comply with the document Guidelines for Recruitment and Selection of Minority Businesses for Participation in State Construction Contracts including Identification of Minority Business Participation, Affidavits A, B, C, and D, and Appendix E. These forms provided herein are hereby incorporated and made a part of this contract. A bidder's failing to comply with this requirement will be considered non-responsive and will result in bid rejection. The NCDPS imposed contract threshold of $5000 for HUB recruitment supersedes any reference to a higher threshold that may be noted in the bid documents, within referenced documents, or within any regulatory requirement Contractors are hereby notified that they must have proper license under the State laws governing their respective trades and that North Carolina General Statute 87 will be observed in receiving and awarding contracts. No bid may be withdrawn after the opening of bids for a period of 90 days. The Owner reserves the right to reject any or all bids and waive informalities.
