Site work and new construction of a pre-engineered storage facility in Reidsville, North Carolina. Completed plans call for the construction of a pre-engineered storage facility; and for site work for a pre-engineered storage facility.

Under the base bid items, the awarded vendor shall design, supply the pre-engineered metal buildings material, and provide onsite support/oversight as need to the Rockingham Youth Development Center jobsite located at 424 Elliot Road, Reidsville, NC 27230. The work shall be performed in accordance with provisions of Contract Drawings and Contract Specifications Dated March 03, 2020. This contract is for design, materials, and oversight only with an alternate for erection of the buildings. The NCDPS Central Engineering Construction Apprentice program shall provide labor and installation. Contractors are hereby notified that they must have proper license under the State laws governing their respective trades and that North Carolina General Statute 87 will be observed in receiving and awarding contracts. NCDPS requires that, for construction contracts with a value of $5000 or greater, the contractor shall comply with the document Guidelines for Recruitment and Selection of Minority Businesses for Participation in State Construction Contracts including Identification of Minority Business Participation, Affidavits A, B, C, and D, and Appendix E. These forms provided herein are hereby incorporated and made a part of this contract. A bidder's failing to comply with this requirement will be considered non-responsive and will result in bid rejection. The NCDPS imposed contract threshold of $5000 for HUB recruitment supersedes any reference to a higher threshold that may be noted in the bid documents, within referenced documents, or within any regulatory requirement. No bid may be withdrawn after the opening of bids for a period of 90 days. The Owner reserves the right to reject any or all bids and waive informalities.
