This call for sealed bids is for the Fairview Road Widening and Coleman Creek Structure Replacement Project. This Contract provides for the improvement of Fairview Road from MP 5.13 to MP 5.42 by widening the road and by installing a new box culvert and realigning Coleman Creek though the reach to reduce the number of roadway crossings. The Work consists of installing a new box culvert, constructing new stream channel, removing existing stream crossing structures, filling existing stream channel, temporary stream diversion, landscape restoration, grading, guardrail, traffic control, and other work, all in accordance with the attached Contract Plans, Contract Provisions, and the Standard Specifications. Engineer's estimated range for the project is $900,000-$1,000,000. All bid proposals shall be accompanied by a bid proposal deposit in cash, certified check, cashier's check, or surety bond in an amount equal to five percent (5%) of the amount of such bid proposal. Should the successful bidder fail to enter into such contract and furnish satisfactory performance and payment bonds within the time stated in the specifications, the bid proposal deposit shall be forfeited to the Kittitas County Public Works. The right is reserved to reject any and all bids and to waiver informalities in the bidding.
