As of June 24, 2020 the board has awarded the project. The start and end date are not yet finalized. Purchase and Installation of 12 new Electric Vehicle (EV) charging stations and the Relocation of 2 existing EV charging stations. The Contract Time: 40 Calendar Days Prequalification of Prime Contractor is NOT Required for this Bid The lowest bid shall be the lowest bid price on the base contract without consideration of the prices on the additive or deductive items. Bid documents for this Project will be available online with ARC (American Reprographics Company), 345 Clinton Street, Costa Mesa, CA 92626, Phone: (714) 424-8525, Fax: (714) 424-8526. Due to current COVID-19 requirements, the District will not be holding a pre-bid conference or site walk; however, will provide photographs depicting the site, which is currently an open area with no structures. The photographs will be available, for viewing or download at no charge, with the project documents on online, on May 13, 2020, before 12:00 p.m. (noon). The District strongly recommends that bidders view the photographs and submit pre-bid RFI's as stipulated in the bid documents. Each bidder's bid must be accompanied by one of the following forms of bidder's security in an amount not less than ten percent (10%) of the maximum amount of the bid: (1) cash; (2) a cashier's check made payable to the District; (3) a certified check made payable to the District; or (4) a bidder's bond executed by a California admitted surety as defined in Code of Civil Procedure section 995.120, made payable to the District in the form set forth in the Contract Documents. Separate payment and performance bonds, each in an amount equal to 100% of the total Contract amount, are required, and shall be provided to the District prior to execution of the Contract and shall be in the form set forth in the Contract Documents. Each bidder and subcontractors shall be a licensed contractor pursuant to the California Business and Professions Code and be licensed to perform the work called for in the Contract Documents. The successful prime contractor bidder must possess a valid and active Class A or B License at the time of bid and throughout the duration of this Contract. The District reserves the right to reject any or all bids or to waive any irregularities or informalities in any bids or in the bidding.
