Brevard County Purchasing Services, on behalf of the Natural Resources Department, is soliciting bids from qualified contractors for the creation of an artificial patch reef. The contractor will be responsible for the trucking of donated re-use concrete materials, loading, offshore transportation, and deployment of at least 340 tons of clean concrete material at the designated location within the Brevard County Artificial Reef Site #2 permitted area, 15.5 nautical miles east of Port Canaveral, Florida at a depth of 80 feet in the Atlantic Ocean. Bid will be awarded based on lowest cost per ton for the minimum of 340 tons of material. Bid Bond Required No Question End Date 5/26/2020 5:00 PM Project Location: The project is located in the Atlantic Ocean, 16 nautical miles east/northeast of Canaveral Harbor, Florida. The Brevard county Artificial Reef Site 2) aka Louis Dubois Artificial Reef) is located on a flat sand plain in water depths that range from 76 to 88 feet deep. Directions to site: From Jacksonville, take 1-95 South; exit onto SR 528 head east; from PortCanaveral, proceed from Canaveral Harbor by vessel approximately 16 miles east ofCanaveral Harbor in the Atlantic Ocean, seaward ofBrevard County, Florida.
