Site work for a water / sewer project in Hampton, Iowa. Completed plans call for site work for a water / sewer project.

Construction of the Sponsored Water Quality Improvement Project for Squaw Creek The construction proposed consists of but is not limited to the following general work items: Base Bid Storm Water Management Clearing, reshaping and modification of approximately 650 LF of stream bank Three in stream boulder structures Restoration Alternate Bid: Storm Water Management Clearing, reshaping and modification of approximately 2,200 LF of stream bank Storm sewer and associated structures One in stream boulder structure Restoration The project will be constructed from the Highway 65 Sqaw Creek bridge located between 3rd Ave NE and 5th Ave NE continuing down stream to the Highway 3 Sqaw Creek bridge located at East Park. Method of construction shall be by contract, and all work is to be done in strict compliance with Plans and Specifications prepared by Short Elliott Hendrickson Inc. (SEH), 215 North Adams, Mason City, Iowa, which are now on file for public examination in the Hampton City Hall. Bid Form, Plans, and Specifications may be obtained from SEH, 215 North Adams, Mason City, Iowa 50401. Work on said project shall commence within ten (10) days of the issuance of a written notice to proceed. Work shall be substantially complete by no later than December 1, 2020. All work shall be completed and ready for final acceptance by June 30, 2021. Substantial completion is defined as follows: All work is complete except for finish grading of turf restoration areas, seeding and minor clean up. The contract times noted are subject to any extension which may be granted by the City Council of Hampton, Iowa. Each bid must be made out on a Bid Form furnished in the Project Manual and obtained from SEH or on a computerized Bid Form furnished by the bidder. Bid Forms furnished by the bidder shall replicate the Bid Form furnished in the Project Manual. Each bid shall be sealed in an envelope marked "Bid for the Sponsored Water Quality Improvement Project for Squaw Creek". Each bid must be accompanied in a separate envelope by a bid security in an amount equal to five percent (5%) percent of the bid price.The bid security shall be in the form of a certified or cashier's check, drawn on a bank in Iowa, or a bank chartered under the laws of the United States, or a certified share draft drawn on a credit union in Iowa or chartered under the laws of the United States, or a bid bond on the form provided in the Project Manual with corporate surety satisfactory to the City and made payable to the City of Hampton, Iowa, as security that the bidder will furnish the required bonds and enter into a contract within ten (10) working days, excluding Saturday, Sunday, and holidays, after the award of the contract. The bid shall contain no condition except as provided in the specifications The City encourages bids from qualified minority and female contractors. The City of Hampton, Iowa reserves the right to reject any and all bids and to waive technicalities and irregularities
