Renovation of an educational facility in Berkeley, California. Completed plans call for the renovation of a educational facility; and educational facility.
Description of Work: South hall is a four-story building designed by David Farquarson and constructed in 1873. The building is nationally recognized as a rare example of the second empire style, and as the oldest surviving building of the original university buildings. The building is a registered historic resource. Scope of work includes, but is not limited to: - exterior masonry and concrete cleaning and repair. - repair slate roof shingles and sheet metal hip flashing. - repair gfrc/ pre-cast east portico and stairs. - replace sealant at east portico/stairs and 3rd floor dormers and window surrounds. - repair wood cornice by securing loose elements and replacing missing components. Requests shall include how many participants from your firm plan to attend. An email from Contract Administration will follow with the time slot and location. Only bidders who participate in the Pre-Bid Conference and Site Tour in its entirety, will be allowed to bid on the Project as prime contractors. The successful Bidder will be required to have the following California current and active contractor's license at the time of submission of the Bid: "B" - General Building Contractor
