As of December 11, 2020 this project is under construction. The Fort Smith Public School District is requesting Bids for the FSPS Peak Innovation Center, Building Envelope Construction Package, located at 5900 Painter Lane, Fort Smith, AR. Bids shall be for a single General Construction Contract on a stipulated lump sum basis; segregated bids will not be accepted. The intent is to take a recommendation for contractor award at the Monday, August 31, 2020 FSPS Board Meeting. Work is anticipated to commence Monday September 14, 2020, with Substantial Completion to be achieved by Friday, January 15, 2021. The Project Scope consists of exterior building envelope modifications of an existing pre-engineered metal building warehouse in preparation for future conversion of the facility into a new 21st Century classroom and instructional environment. Work includes selective demolition; replacement of portions of the building envelope with new construction as scheduled, including structural modifications, new exterior walls, new exterior finishes, aluminum entrances and storefront, windows, roof drainage, and other Work indicated in the Bidding Documents. The Fort Smith Public School District reserves the right to reject any and all Bids, call for a re-bid, and to negotiate with any Bidder if it is deemed to be in the best interest of The Fort Smith Public School District. The minority participation goal for this project is: 5.6% The goal for the participation of women- 6.9 percent.
