This work consists of removing and disposing of the trees, brush, stumps, roots, and other plant life, including dead and decayed matter, within the construction area designated for removal by the contract or as directed by the Engineer. If, in the opinion of the Engineer, the Contractor operates in a reckless manner which results in damage to a tree, the tree shall be removed and replaced with a City-approved tree at the Contractor's expense.
