The Project includes the following Work: The work to be performed (Work) consists of installation of approximately 400 L.F. of 6"steel gas pipe under bridge, installation of approximately 330 L.F. of 6" steel gas pipe along and underneath Providence Blvd. on both sides of the bridge, abandonment and removal of all existing 6" and 4" steel pipe and all associated appurtenances hanging under bridge, and three (3) hot taps. The Work includes, but is not limited to, gas line installation both trenched and hung under a bridge with all necessary appurtenances, gas line installation via horizontal directional drilling, steel welding, steel gas line hot taps, gas line testing, erosion and sediment control, and traffic control as shown on the Drawings and as set out more fully in the Specifications. Contractor shall provide all necessary materials, labor and equipment to complete the Work. Bids are requested for the following single prime Contract. The Project has an expected duration of 90 days to substantial completion after the date when the Contract Times commence to run and 120 days to readiness for final payment after the date when the Contract Times commence to run. Bidders will be required to submit a Bid Security in the amount of five percent (5%) of Bidder maximum Bid price in accordance with the Instructions to Bidders. Upon Contract award, the Successful Bidder must provide performance and payment bonds in accordance with the General Conditions, as may be modified by the Supplementary Conditions, at time of delivery of the executed Agreement to the Owner. Bidders must be licensed contractors as required by Tennessee Code Annotated (TCA) 62-6-103 and 2- 6-112. Bidders are required to provide evidence of compliance with TCA Title 62, Chapter 6 before any Bidder's Bid may be considered.
