The Cherokee County Board of Commissioners Purchasing Department (County) is requesting competitive sealed Bids in support of a Federally funded project from the U.S. Department of Transportation for the SR 140 at East Cherokee Drive (CR 765) Intersection Improvement; GDOT PI No. 0013368; Project No. 72068-Cherokee County, as per current Georgia DOT Standards and Specifications as described herein. Contract Time: 365 Calendar days, Proposal Guarantee: 5% Bidders must be unconditionally qualified prospective bidders in accordance with Chapter 672-5 of the Rules of the Georgia Department of Transportation. Bidders submitting a bid $2,000,000 or less must be either a prequalified contractor or a registered subcontractor with GDOT. Bidders submitting bids in excess of $2,000,000 must be prequalified with GDOT. If the Contract is awarded, it will be awarded to the lowest reliable bidder whose proposal shall have met all the prescribed requirements. (Section 103.02) The work to be done consists of the furnishing of all material, labor and equipment for this project.
