Site work and renovation of a water / sewer project in Channelview, Texas. Completed plans call for the renovation of a water / sewer project; and for site work for a water / sewer project.
**As of January 14, 2021, project has not been awarded. The project involves the rehabilitation of the interior and exterior of an existing 400,000 gallon potable water elevated storage tank, as well as mechanical repairs and tank logo. There is an existing chain link security fence that is in close proximity to 2 of the tank legs that will interfere with the tank containment. Include in the cost of the project the assumption that 60 linear feet of chain link fence with a barb wire outrigger will need to be temporarily removed, and a temporary security fence installed approximately 15' away from its existing location; and then when the containment is removed the chain link fence will need to be put back in place upon completion of the project. The existing fabric, outrigger, and horizontal bars may be re-used; please assume that the fence poles cannot be reused and must be replaced in-kind, and set in concrete (12" hole; 36 inches deep) The project is funded by a CDBG federal grant administered through Harris County Community Services Department.
