General work description: Place an asphalt overlay in between Tower Road and Arboleda Drive and perform a Full Depth Reclamation of Childs Avenue in between Arboleda Drive and Plainsburg Road. You must perform, place, construct, or install other items and details not mentioned that are required of the plans under the Standard Specifications and Special Provisions. Each bid must be accompanied by a certified check, cashier's check, or bidder's bond made payable to the COUNTY OF MERCED for an amount equal to at least ten percent (10%) of the amount of bid, such guaranty to be forfeited should the bidder to whom the contract is awarded fail to enter into the contract. The successful bidder will be required to obtain a Merced County Business License before execution of the contract at his own expense. No contractor or subcontractor may be listed on a bid proposal for a public works project unless registered with the Department of Industrial Relations pursuant to Labor Code section 1725.5. The DBE Contract goal is Zero. However, use of DBE's are encouraged. Complete work within 120 working days.
