Site work and new construction of an elderly care / assisted living facility in Enterprise, Alabama. Completed plans call for the construction of a 189,000-square-foot, one-story above grade elderly care / assisted living facility; and for site work for a elderly care / assisted living facility.

The project includes but is not limited to new construction of an approximate 189,000sf, one-story building with parking, landscaping, irrigation and sitework. The prequalification procedure will identify responsible and competent General Contractor bidders relative to the requirements of the Project. Notification of successful re-spondents will be issued no later than 5:00pm CST on Wednesday, April 6, 2022. Additional qualifications and requirements for General Contractor Bidders and Subcontractors are indicated in the Bid and Contract Documents. Only General Contractors who have completed the prequalification process within the stated time limits, and which are properly licensed in accordance with criteria established by the State Licensing Board for General Contractors under the Provision of Title 34, Chapter 8, Code of Alabama 1975, as amended, will be considered for the Work of this Project. A cashier's check or bid bond payable to Alabama Department of Veterans Affairs, in an amount not less than five percent (5%) of the amount of the bid, but in no event more than $10,000, must accompany the bidder's proposal. Performance and statutory Labor and Material Payment Bonds, and insurance in compliance with requirements, will be required at the signing of the Contract. Deadline for submission of questions or requests pertaining to this bid is Monday, May 2, 2022, at 5:00 PM CST. All bidders bidding in amounts exceeding that established by the State Licensing Board for Contractors must be licensed under the Provision of Title 34, Chapter 8, Code of Alabama, 1975, as amended, and must show such evidence of license before bidding or bid will not be received or considered by Architect or Owner; the bidder shall show such evidence by clearly displaying their current license number on the outside of the sealed envelope in which the proposal is delivered and on the Proposal Form. The Owner reserves the right to reject any or all proposals and to waive technical errors if, in the Owner's judgement, the best interests of the Owner will thereby be promoted.
