The Roof Replacement Consists of a Complete Tear-off of the Ex- Isting Asphalt Shingles, Underlayment and Edge Metal Down to the Wood Deck. A New Roofing System Shall Be Installed Consist- Ing of Ice and Water Barrier, Underlayment, Asphalt Shingles and Edge Metal. The Roof Surface Area is Approximately 10,250 Sf. There Are Also Alternate Bids to 1.) Replace the Existing Alu- Minum Soffit and Fascia, 2.) Add More Insulation to the Attic and 3.) Replace the Existing Garage Infra-red Heaters. No Proposal Will Be Accepted Unless Accompanied by a Certified Check or Bid Bond Equal to at Least 5% of the Amount Bid, Payable to the Owner as a Guarantee That, if the Bid is Ac- Cepted, the Bidder Will Execute and File the Proper Contract and Bond Within Seven (7) Days After the Award of the Contract. The Certified Check Will Be Returned to the Bidder as Soon as Bond and Contract is Signed, and if After Seven (7) Days the Bidder Shall Fail to Do So, the Certified Check or Bid Bond Shall Be for- Feited to the Owner as Liquidated Damages. Performance and Payment Bonds for the Full Contract Amount Shall Be Required From the Successful Bidder. Prequalification of Bidders Will Not Be Required. Bidders to Whom Award of a Contract is Under Consideration Shall Submit to Ar- Chitect Contractor's Qualification Statement. No Bidder May Withdraw His Bid Within 15 Calendar Days After the Actual Date of the Opening Thereof. Owner Reserves the Right to Reject Any or All Bids, Waive or Not Waive Any Informalities in the Bids Received, and to Accept Any Proposal Which They Deem Most Favorable to the Interests of the Owner.
