Orange County Water Control and Improvements District No. 1, Water System Improvements, Well Site 5 - Ground Storage Tank Replacement generally described as the construction of a new 426,000 gallon factory powder coated bolted steel ground storage tank on a new concrete slab foundation including the installation yard piping and header piping, relocation of antenna on tank ladder, and demolition of existing ground storage tank. The right is reserved by the OCWCID No. 1, as its interest may require, to accept or reject any or all bids, and to waive any informality in the bids received. Complete sets of Bidding Documents shall be used in preparing Bids; neither Owner nor Engineer assumes any responsibility for errors or misinterpretations resulting from the use of incomplete sets of Bidding Documents. Owner and Engineer, in making copies of Bidding Documents available on the above terms, do so only for the purpose of obtaining Bids for the Work and do not confer a license or grant for any other purpose. Bid Security, only in the form of: 1) a certified or cashier's check drawn on a Texas bank and made payable to the OCWCID No. 1; or 2) a bond executed by a surety company authorized to do business in Texas, in the amount of not less than five (5%) percent of the total bid, must accompany each bid at the time it is submitted. Bids must be submitted in duplicate. Bids may be held by the OCWCID No. 1 for a period not to exceed 60 days from the date of the bid opening for the purpose of reviewing the bids and investigating the bidder's qualifications prior to the contract award. Upon award, the successful bidder will be required to furnish payment and performance bonds.
