The Project Consists of the Following Major Elements: Construction of a 12" Storm Sewer With Catch Basins, the Replacement of Existing Sanitary Lampholes With Sanitary Manholes, and Repaving the Alley Between Crescent Street and 31st Street. Bids Shall Be Submitted Using the Prepared Forms Provided in the Bidding Documents. Each Bidder is Required to Furnish With Its Proposal a Bid Guaranty and Contract Bond in Accordance With Section 153.54 of the Ohio Revised Code. Bid Security Shall Be Issued by a Surety Company or Corporation Licensed in the State of Ohio to Provide Said Surety. Each Bid Must Contain the Full Name of the Party or Parties Submitting the Bid and All Persons Interested Therein. Each Bidder Must Submit Evidence of Its Experiences on Projects of Similar Size and Complexity. The Owner Intends and Requires That This Project Be Completed Within 180 Calendar Days. All Contractors and Subcontractors Involved With the Project Will to the Extent Practicable Use Ohio Products, Materials, Services, and Labor in the Implementation of Their Project. Additionally, Contractor Compliance With Equal Employment Opportunity Requirements of Ohio Administrative Code Chapter 123 is Required. Bidders Shall Comply With Prevailing Wage Rates on Public Improvements in Belmont County, Ohio as Determined by the Ohio Department of Commerce, Bureau of Wage and Hour Administration, (614) 644-2239. The Contract Will Include a Liquidated Damages Clause in the Amount of $1,000.00 (One Thousand Dollars) Per Calendar Day. The Time Limit for Completion of Work in the Contract Documents is 150 Calendar Days From the Date of Signing the Contract. The Village of Bellaire Reserves the Right to Accept or Reject Any or All Bids, to Select the Bid Most Advantageous to the Village, and to Waive Any Irregularities in the Bidding Process.
