Reference Number AB-2021-01967 All inquiries to be sent to: Sue Skilton, MBA, SCMP Email: purchasing@eips.ca 1.Bid Ineligibility 1.Bids that are unsigned, improperly signed or sealed, conditional, illegible, obscure, contain arithmetical errors, erasures, alterations, or irregularities of any kind, may be declared non-compliant at Owner's discretion. 2.Bids with Bid Forms and enclosures which are improperly prepared may be declared non-compliant at Owner's discretion. 3.Bids that fail to include the mandatory bid requirements; security deposit, consent of surety, insurance certificate with "The Board of Trustees of Elk Island Public Schools" named as a certificate holder, Bid Form(s), addendum acknowledgement, COR certificate and a WCB clearance letter will be declared non-compliant at Owner's discretion. 2.Bid Reservations 1.The Owner reserves the right because of the complexity of the project to rejectany or all submissions from Bidders that the Owner deems would be unable to complete the project; 2.By submitting a proposal, the Bidders acknowledges the Owner's ability to exercise its discretion to accept or reject any or all proposals, and shall not constitute a breach of contract or in tort of any duty imposed by statute or common law and owed by the Owner to the Bidders; 3.Submissions Delivery 1.Bidders are solely responsible for delivery of their Bids in manner and timeprescribed on The Cover Page of this document. 1.Security Deposit: 1.Bids are to be accompanied by security deposit as follows: 2.Bid Bond in amount of 10% of the Bid value 3.Endorse Bond's in name The Board of Trustees of Elk Island Public Schools as obligee, signed and sealed by principal Contractor and surety.4.Use most current edition CCDC approved bond forms. 2.Consent of Surety: 1.Submit with Bid Form and Bid Bond, Consent of Surety, stating that surety providing Bid Bond is willing to supply Performance and Labour and Materials Payment Bond in amount of 50% of the Bid value with "The Board of Trustees of Elk Island Public Schools" named as holder. 2.Include cost of bonds in Bid Price. 3.Accepted Bidder must provide Performance and Labour and MaterialsPayment Bond as described in Supplementary Conditions. 4.Include cost of bonds in Bid Price 3.Insurance 1.Refer to Supplementary Conditions for insurance requirements by Owner. 2.Submit Certificate of Insurance with "The Board of Trustees of Elk Island Public Schools" named as a certificate holder 4.Bid Forms 1.Submit Bid Forms provided, signed and with corporate seal. 2.Bidder, in submitting an offer, accepts time period stated in Contractdocuments for performing Work. Completion date in Agreement is completion time added to commencement date. 3.Bidder, in submitting an offer, agrees to complete Work by date indicated in Contract Documents, but may propose a revision to contract time with adjustment to Bid price. 4.Consideration will be given to time of completion when reviewing Bidssubmitted. 5.Bid Form(s) must be filled out correctly and completely, acknowledging alladdendums. 5.Safety 1.Submit a valid Certificate of Recognition (COR) from the Alberta Construction Safety Association. No alternatives will be accepted. 2.Submit WCB clearance letter. 9.Offer acceptance/rejection 1.Duration of Offer 1.Bids to remain open to acceptance, and irrevocable for sixty (60) days afterBid closing date. 2.Acceptance of Offer 1.Owner reserves right to accept or reject any or all offers. 2.After acceptance by Owner, Owner will issue to successful Bidder, written Bid acceptance. 3.After Bid has been accepted, unsuccessful Bids will not be returned to respective Bidders.
