The City of Muncie, Indiana (Owner) is requesting Bids for the construction of the following Project: Public Resurfacing and Road Improvements The Project includes the following Work: The scope of work expected under this contract includes: The project includes W, 7th St. from S. Batavia Ave. to S. Gilman Ave., W. Main St. from S. McKinley Ave. to S. Calvert St., W. 13th St. from S. Port Ave. to S. Rochester Ave., S. Utica Ave. from W. 8th St. to W. Memorial Dr., N. Garnet Ave. from E. Waid Ave. to the dead end of the road, 5. High St. from W. Memorial Dr. to W. 9th St., E. Charles St, from S. Rackley St to S. Beacon St., S. Graceland Ave. from W. Jackson St. to W. Main St., and N. Monroe St. from E. Gilbert St. to E. Washington St., all locations within the City of Muncie, Indiana. The scope of work for each of the above listed sites consists at various locations of: milling and resurfacing, full depth patching of hot mix asphalt, patching of hot mix asphalt to achieve level at-grade surfaces, removing and replacing existing gravel surfaces with full depth hot mix asphalt, cleaning and removing debris from existing inlets and resetting the casting, removing existing trees, removing and replacing existing sidewalk, removing and replacing existing curb, restoring existing curb, constructing new curb, constructing new accessible curb ramps, adding detectable warning strips to existing accessible curb ramps, and removing and replacing existing driveways within the right-of-way. The work also includes various coordination with 3rd parties for replacing existing storm sewer infrastructure and adjusting casting rims to match finished road surfaces. Bids are requested for the following Contract: City of Muncie Board of Public Works and Safety Public Resurfacing and Road Improvements Owner anticipates that the Project's total bid price will be approximately $1.4 Million. The Project is expected to reach substantial completion by November 20, 2020 with final completion by December 18, 2020.
