Site work and paving for a sidewalk / parking lot in Kingwood, West Virginia. Completed plans call for site work for a sidewalk / parking lot; and for paving for a sidewalk / parking lot.
The work to be bid upon is generally described as follows: Preston County schools is requesting bids that include labor, material, taxes, equipment, and tools for the asphalt paving at Preston High School and Bruceton School. The work will consist of milling and overlaying existing parking lots at both schools that will involve approximately 15,300 SY of milling and 2,900 tons of asphalt. The Work will be substantially completed within 30 calendar days after the date when the Contract Times commence to run and completed and ready for final payment within 45 days after the date when the Contract Times commence to run. Liquidated damages shall be $1,000.00 per day. A bidder may not withdraw his bid for a period of sixty (60) days after the date set for the opening of bids. Contractor is required to provide the Drug Free Workplace Certification in accordance with WV Code 21-1D-5. All Bidders are required to have a West Virginia Contractor's License per Section 21-11-11 of the West Virginia Code. Bids received after the scheduled closing time for the reception of bids will be returned unopened to the bidders. The Preston County Board of Education reserves the right to reject any and all bids.
