Site work and new construction of a playground / park / athletic field in Farmington, New York. Completed plans call for the construction of a 4,100-square-foot, one-story above grade playground / park / athletic field; and for site work for a playground / park / athletic field.
In accordance with Section 103 of Article 5-A of the General Municipal Law, sealed Bids for the construction of the Beaver Creek Park Project - Maintenance/Restroom Building. The project includes the construction of a new public restroom/maintenance building, approximately 1,700 s.f., at the Beaver Creek Park in Farmington, NY. The structure is a single story, slab-on-grade public structure with load bearing masonry walls and wood trusses. The restroom area will be fully ADA compliant and conditioned (heat). The garage area will house Town maintenance equipment, include overhead doors and will be a non-conditioned space. A separate park pavilion and storage room, approximately 2,400 s.f., will be bid as an alternate. Related site work shall include excavation, compacted backfill and grading within five feet of the structure's perimeter. Sealed Bids will be received for a single prime Contract. Bids shall be on a lump sum basis, with additive alternate bid items as indicated in the Bid Form. In accordance with Section 101.5. of Article 5-A of the General Municipal Law, Bidders shall submit with its bid a separate sealed list that names each subcontractor that the bidder will use to perform work on the contract, and the agreed-upon amount to be paid to each, for: (a) plumbing and gas fitting, (b) steam heating, hot water heating, ventilating and air conditioning apparatus and (c) electric wiring and standard illuminating fixtures. For a non-refundable fee of Ten Dollars ($10), interested firms may request and receive a CD with electronic copies of the Bidding Documents. If the CD is to be shipped, the Bidder must furnish Avalon with the Bidder's active UPS or Federal Express account number or pay Avalon for all shipping and handling costs. For a non-refundable fee, printed copies of the Bidding Documents may be obtained from the Avalon Planroom. If the documents are to be shipped,the Bidder mustfurnish Avalon with the Bidder's active UPS or Federal Express account number or pay Avalon for all shipping and handling costs. The Bidding Documents must be obtained through the Avalon Planroom in order to be considered a Plan Holder of record. Bidding Documents obtained from any other source are for examination only, are not considered complete and are not valid for bidding purposes. Bidding Documents also may be examined at the offices of MRB Group, and the Town of Farmington, 1000 County Road #8, Farmington, NY 14425, on Mondays through Fridays between the hours of 9:00 AM and 3:30 PM by appointment only; or online through internet based construction information subscription services. The date that the Bidding Documents are transmitted by the Issuing Office will be considered the Bidder's date of receipt of the Bidding Documents. Partial sets of Bidding Documents will not be available from the Issuing Office. Neither Town of Farmington, nor Engineer, nor Avalon will be responsible for full or partial sets of Bidding Documents, including Addenda if any, obtained from sources other than the Issuing Office. The Town of Farmington, Ontario County, NY, reserves the right to reject any or all bids, or to waive any informalities, or to make an award to other than the low bidder. It further reserves the right to limit the amount of the award. Attention of the bidders is particularly directed to the requirements of the conditions of employment to be observed and minimum Wage Rates to be paid under the Contract. The Town of Farmington does not discriminate on the basis of handicapped status in admission or access to, or treatment or employment in, its programs and activities. Bid security shall be furnished in accordance with the Instructions to Bidders.
