Renovation of a municipal facility in West Palm Beach, Florida. Completed plans call for the renovation of a municipal facility.
The Town of Palm Beach is seeking proposals from licensed painting contractors who can demonstrate at least Ten (10) years' experience in exterior painting of municipal & commercial buildings. The Town Hall Building, is located at 360 South County Road, Palm Beach, FL 33480. The contractor shall provide all necessary materials, labor, management and equipment necessary to complete the work as specified. A list of all equipment available to complete the services of this contract must be included with the submission of this Invitation to Bid. SCOPE OF WORK Provide labor, supervision, material, and necessary equipment for all stucco repair/patching, priming, painting, wood refinishing and finishing work as required for a complete exterior painting package, including but not limited to layout, mock-ups, all exterior walls, doors and frames, overhead doors, steps, decks, parapet walls, out-lookers/corbels, decorative wood panels, decorative stone & concrete accents, metal surfaces, paintable caulk, hollow metal frames, wood trim, wood ceilings, rails, housings, etc. The painter must indicate acceptance of all surfaces to receive paint prior to commencing work. 1. The contractor shall maintain a full work force from start to completion, including qualified foreman or lead man on the job at all times. 2. Remove and reinstall all bird netting and bird spikes. 3. Contractor shall provide a lineal foot cost for removing and replacing any fascia, soffit, and decorative wood not fit for painting. 100 LF. Shall be included in the base bid for this project 4. The painting contractor is responsible for cleaning and preparing all exposed structure that is scheduled to receive paint. Scraping, patching and sanding of exterior walls, ceilings, foyers, concrete decks, etc., is the work of this contractor 5. Remove all mildew, dirt, grime, debris, etc. if present by washing/cleaning surface per manufacture recommendations. 6. Contractor shall perform all patching/repair, caulking, filling, and sealant work required which shall include but not be limited to wood work, concrete decking, stucco, stucco banding, hollow metal and aluminum doors and window frames, control joints, expansion joints etc. (not including windows or frames) the contractor shall furnish all caulking and sealant materials including any required backer rod. Any exposed metal will receive Rusto-Lastic metal primer or approved equal by manufacture recommendations 7. Repair of hairline cracks (maximum 1/32" x 1/32") appearing throughout wall system. Hairline cracks shall be raked out with a knife, cleaned, filled or patched with a nonshrinking flexible and paintable repair product. 8. Repair of structural cracks, larger than hairline. Cracks shall be cut out with electric saw to approximately 1/4" x 1/4". Cracks and joints shall be filled with Urethane, 1 part sealant, tooled to manufacturer's specifications. 9. Contractor to perform all painting of electrical, plumbing, conduit, mechanical equipment piping/ductwork, water piping, back flow devices, etc., as directed by the contract coordinator.
