Renovation of a water / sewer project in Painesville, Ohio. Completed plans call for the renovation of a water / sewer project.
Each proposal must contain the full name of the party or parties submitting the proposal and all persons interested therein. Each bidder must submit evidence of its experiences on projects of similar size and complexity. All contractors and subcontractors involved with the project will, to the extent practicable, use Ohio products, materials, services, and labor in the implementation of their project. Additionally, contractor compliance with the Equal Employment Opportunity Requirements of Ohio Administrative Code Chapter 123, the Governors Executive Order of 1972, and Governors Executive Order 84-9 shall be required. The successful bidder will be required to furnish a bond for the faithful performance of the contract in a sum not less than 100% of the total price bid for the complete work, said bond to be that of an approved surety company authorized to transact business in the State of Ohio, to the satisfaction of the Law Director. The Bidding Documents may be examined at: City of Painesville, Engineering Department, 66 Mentor Avenue, Painesville, Ohio 44077 Each proposal must be accompanied by a Bid Guaranty and Contract Bond per the contract documents. Bidders must be registered plan holders. Each BID must be made upon the blanks furnished with the Contract Documents, without mutilation, and must be delivered to the office of the City Manager in the Painesville City Hall, 7 Richmond Street, Painesville, Ohio 44077, previous to the time and the date specified above The work covered by the Contract Documents includes the construction of a new carbon feed system and masonry building enclosure; and all necessary and appertaining work. The City of Painesville reserves the right to waive any informalities or irregularities in the Bidding. The windows in the north, south, and east elevation shall be faux windows that match the design of the existing buildings. ADD the following notes and dimensions to the plans regarding the windows: "The faux window panel size shall have an out-out dimension of 3'-8" x 4'-6 1/2 " and be double hung typical of 5 to match the window design of the existing buildings. The window panel shall be surface mounted onto the side of the building s recommended by the manufacturer. The faux windows shall be Imagination Millwork, Millcraft Systems Inc, or equal. Frame and trim shall be composite type and white in color. The faux "glass" shall be an opaque black plexiglass, black polycarbonate, or equal. Materials and installation methods recommended by the manufacturer shall be submitted for approval." DELETE the mullions that are shown in the windows and delete the brick sill shown under the windows, these are not required. The window on the east elevation requires shutters. ADD the following note to the shutters, "Shutters shall be louvered composite type, 15" standard width x 4'-6 1/2 " and white in color."
