"As of July 29, 2020, the construction date is in the beginning of August. The Carmichael Water District Grant Avenue Mainline Replacement Project is bound by Garfield Avenue, Whitney Boulevard, Fair Oaks Boulevard, and Grant Avenue located in Carmichael CA. The work to be performed consists of installing approximately 6,000 feet of 8- inch and approximately 430 feet of 6-inch Class 52 Ductile Iron Pipe within multiple minor residential and major roads, one (1) hot tap onto an existing 14-inch steel main, five (5) new fire hydrant installations, four (4) remove and replacement fire hydrants, and abandonment of approximately 6,500 feet of existing water mains. The work also includes the installation of 76 new water service saddles and corporation stop valves, copper water service lines, and reconnection to existing water meters; one new water meter service and in-tract line installation. The District reserves the right after opening Bids to reject any or all Bids, to waive any informality in a Bid, and award in the best interests of the District. If the Contract is to be awarded, the District will award the Contract to the responsible Bidder that submits the lowest responsive Bid.
