As of August 26, 2024, an engineer has been selected and this project is in the design phase. A firm timeline for construction has not been determined, but could begin by Q4 2025. *The closed solicitation has been included below for reference: The City of Tumwater has acquired property at 1500 79th Avenue SE, Tumwater, Washington, for the purpose of constructing a new Maintenance & Operations facility and neighborhood park. The current intersection is poorly aligned and is stop sign controlled. The intersection experiences large delays on 79th Avenue during peak traffic hours. As mitigation for the new Maintenance & Operations facility and as part of a larger corridor transportation plan, the City will be constructing a roundabout at the intersection. This RFQ is for design and coordination services for a new roundabout at Old Highway 99 SE and 79th Avenue intersection.
