Completed plans call for the renovation of a 88,852-square-foot educational facility; for the addition of a 86,472-square-foot educational facility; for the demolition of a educational facility; and for site work for a educational facility.

Statements of Qualifications are invited for General Contracting Services for the construction of the Northampton Middle/High School Modernization in Eastville, VA. The project is generally described as both renovation and addition of existing school and CTE building. The renovation building construction totaling 88,852 square feet will include minor structural alterations, replacement of brick veneer, replacement of the complete roof, new geothermal well system with associated mechanical equipment, new sprinkler system, fire alarm system, plumbing systems and fixtures, electrical systems, interior systems to include new partitions, casework, doors and finishes, hazard material abatement. The addition building construction totaling 86,472 square feet will include wall footings, column footings, thickened slabs, steel columns, steel beams and joists, metal deck roofing with modified 2 ply bitumen for low roofs and standing seam for high roofs, CMU with brick veneer exterior closure, geothermal well system with associated HVAC equipment, plumbing, fire alarm and fire sprinkler system, food service equipment. Award of contract to a General Contractor is anticipated in July 2022. Actual construction is anticipated to commence in August 2022 and reach substantial completion before September 2024. One (1) clearly marked original & five (5) copies of the statement of qualification and supporting documentation as well as one (1) electronic copy on flash drive is required. A pre-RFQ submittal conference will not be held. Contractors shall be prequalified without regard to race, religion, color, sex, and national origin or disability.
