Site work for a water / sewer project in Myrtle, Mississippi. Completed plans call for site work for a water / sewer project.

PROJECT# P19-210 The Project will be let as three separate contracts and consists of the following: Contract "C" - approximately 6,800 feet of 8" waterline, 5,000 feet of 6" and 2,400 feet of 4". Bids will be received for a single prime Contract. Bids shall be unit price basis as indicated in the Bid Form. Each electronically submitted bid must be submitted in "pdf" format and shall contain the same information and forms as required for the paper bids. Note - electronic bids must be secured with a bid bond. This project is being funded in part by the Community Development Block Grant #1136-19-271-PF-01 and the rules and regulations therein apply. The successful bidder must comply with Section 3 of the Housing and Urban Development Act of 1968 (12 U.S.C. 1701u). CDBG regulations governing the grant require that, to the greatest extent feasible opportunities for contracting, subcontracting, training and employment arising in connection with this CDBG project will be extended to Section 3 businesses and Section 3 residents. Minority and Woman Owned Business Enterprises are solicited to bid on this contract as prime contractors and are encouraged to make inquiries regarding potential subcontracting opportunities, equipment, material and/or supply needs. In the event that an electronically submitted bid has a corrupted attachment, the bid will be considered null and void by the owner. A satisfactory Bid Bond executed by the Bidder or an accepted Surety, a certified check, or bank draft payable to the Town of Myrtle, on negotiable U.S. Government Bonds (at par value), shall be submitted with each bid in an amount equal to five percent (5%) of the total bid. The successful bidder must comply with the Davis-Bacon Act which requires that all laborers and mechanics shall be paid at rates not less than those determined by the Department of Labor to be prevailing for the locality in which the project is located.
