Site work and paving for a road / highway in Athens, Ohio. Completed plans call for site work for a road / highway; and for paving for a road / highway.
The work for which proposals are invited consists of the furnishing of all labor, materials and equipment for the repair, milling, and resurfacing of streets. The engineer's opinion of probable construction cost for the Project is: Base Bid $270,000.00; Alternate A $62,531.00. It shall be accompanied by a proposal bond in the amount of one hundred percent (100%) of the bid, or by a certified check, cashier's check or irrevocable letter of credit for ten percent (10%) of the bid, made payable to the City of Athens, Ohio, conditioned that if the bid is accepted, a contract will be entered into within ten (10) days after notice of acceptance. A performance bond of one hundred percent (100%) of the amount of the contract with a satisfactory surety company, conditioned according to law, will be required for the faithful performance of the contract. The City of Athens reserves the right to reject any and/or all bids and to waive informalities as may be in its best interest.
