The Town is requesting LOI from Private Engineering Firms (PEF) to provide Engineering Design and Surveying services for intersection improvements for the McCoy Rd at Hambright Rd Project and the McCoy Rd at McIlwaine Rd Project. Both of these projects will be 100% funded by the Town. The solicitation and selection of these services shall be conducted in accordance with the Town's standards and terms. The intersections will need to be designed in accordance with NCDOT Standards. It shall be the sole responsibility of the firm to make sure that their LOI and included submittals are received by the Town on or before the deadline. Any LOI, and included submittals, not received by the deadline will be disqualified from consideration. The Town will follow Mini-Brooks Act N.C.G.S 143-64 for this agreement. If awarded, the contract will be awarded to the firm qualified to provide such services on the basis of demonstrated competence and qualification for the type of professional services submitting by the deadline stated above taking into account quality, performance and time. The successful PEF will be required to enter into the Town's Standard form Agreement for Professional Engineering Services herein attached as reference. The Town is committed to providing opportunities for small and disadvantage businesses. The Town encourages bids from Historically Underutilized Businesses (HUB). The Huntersville's Board reserves the right to reject any and all LOI for any reason and at any time and to waive minor informalities. Due to COVID-19 restrictions, the Town of Huntersville will accept digital copies in lieu of hard and/or loose leaf copies.
