The City of Phoenix is seeking a qualified Electrical Engineering consultant to provide electrical design reviews and construction administration and inspection services, including Arc Flash Hazardous Analysis Testing Services for the Water Services Department's Water Remote Facilities. This contract will be for a two-year period with an option to extend the contract for one year. The Water Remote Facilities are located citywide. The estimated total construction cost for the project under this program is $30 million. NOTE: The City of Phoenix will NOT accept responses submitted after the Date and Time stated in the Solicitation, nor will the City of Phoenix accept responses submitted by fax or e-mail. It is the Bidder's responsibility to ensure that they have all addenda prior to submitting their offer. The selected firm will be required to provide arc flash hazardous testing services utilizing a professional electrical engineer. The arc flash hazardous testing will include as-built existing single line diagrams, conducting load calculations for motor control centers, switchgear and power panels, and have the knowledge to conduct a power system study and ground system testing. The selected firm may be required to access energized equipment and provide all arc flash safety personal protective gear that meets the requirements of NFPA 70E. This pre-submittal meeting will be a combined meeting for the Arc Flash Analysis, Electrical Design and Inspection Services for Water Remote Facilities project And Instrumentation and Control Systems Inspection and Testing Services for Water Remote Facilities project. At this meeting, City staff will discuss the scope of work, general project requirements, and respond to questions from the attendees. It is strongly recommended that interested firms attend the pre-submittal meeting.
