The School Board of Sarasota County, Florida intends to establish firm prices for a period of three-years from the date of award for once a week pickup and disposal of recycled cardboard, recycled paper, and other recycled materials for the Facilities Services Department at forty-eight (48) locations throughout the district. The Contractor shall provide firm pricing for the placement of four-yard, six-yard, or eight-yard (frontload) recycling containers and other optional containers (i.e.; rolling carts) designated for the removal of single stream products and/or construction debris, on a minimum of one (1) time per week pickup in designated facilities of the SBSC, and the proper disposal thereof. Email: joyce.haney@sarasotacountyschools.net All dumpsters supplied for the disposal of recycling materials shall be design type that provides double lids and drain plugs. Recycling containers shall be eight cubic yards in size. All containers shall be maintained in good working order by the Contractor. All containers shall be inspected, repaired, repainted, and sanitized at periodic intervals, as requested, but no less than once per contract year as necessary. The containers shall be constructed of high quality steel. The SBSC may require that any container be replaced based on its interior or exterior condition, as determined by the SBSC. The containers shall have markings and verbiage indicating it is a recycling container for single stream recycling materials.
