Site work and renovation of a water / sewer project in Centerville, Ohio. Completed plans call for site work for a water / sewer project; and for the renovation of a water / sewer project.
The Work covered under this Contract shall consist of the complete cleaning and repainting of the 2,000,000 gallon steel elevated water tank in Centerville, Ohio on the interior wet surfaces, the complete cleaning and repainting of the interior dry surfaces, and the complete cleaning and repainting of the exterior surfaces with containment. Work items include: furnishing and installation of an overflow flap gate, inlet/outlet pipe insulation, valve vault ladder, pipe pit ladder, bowl manhole ladder, ladder safe-climbing devices, platform manholes, platform sleeves, and clog-resistant roof vent; removal of dry riser ladder cages; modification of access tube ladder; relocation of obstruction light; removal and reinstallation of cathodic protection system; removal of existing paved driveway and installation of new paved driveway; including other miscellaneous repairs and incidental items such as coordination with the OWNER, first anniversary evaluation, disposal of debris, site restoration, etc. Bidder shall furnish a Bid Guaranty, in the form prescribed in Sections 153.54, 153.57, and 153.571 of the Ohio Revised Code, in the form of either: (1) a bond for the full amount of the Bid in the form of the Bid and Performance/Payment Bond included in the Contract Documents in Specification Section 00410; or (2) a certified check, cashier's check, or irrevocable letter of credit in a form satisfactory to the Owner in an amount equal to 10% of the Bid. Bid amount shall be the total of all sums bid, including all add alternates, but excluding all deduct alternates. NOTE: AIA Bid Bond forms are not acceptable. The Date of Commencement of the Work shall be the date identified in the Notice to Proceed issued by the Owner to the Contractor. If such Notice to Proceed is not issued, the Date of Commencement of the Work shall be 30 days after the Effective Date of this Agreement. The Contractor shall complete the following activities of Work within the milestone durations indicated. These milestones are as defined below and their work activity durations are calendar days after Notice to Proceed. Contract Completion 200 Days The successful Bidder, who, as a Bid Guaranty, submits a certified check, cashier's check, or irrevocable letter of credit in an amount equal to 10% of the Bid, shall furnish a Performance/Payment Bond in the form of the Performance/Payment Bond included in Specification Section 00512 in the Contract Documents in an amount equal to 100% of the Contract Sum. Note: AIA Bond forms are not acceptable. The Owner reserves the right to reject any, part of any, or all Bids and to waive any informalities and irregularities. The Bidder expressly acknowledges this right of the Owner to reject any or all Bids or to reject any incomplete or irregular Bid. Bidders must furnish all information requested on or accompanying the Bid Form. Failure to do so may result in disqualification of the Bid.
