Site work for a transportation facility in Grenada, Mississippi. Completed plans call for site work for a transportation facility.
The proposed project generally consists of replacing 6x8 and 7x9 ties. A contract will be awarded to the lowest responsive and responsible bidder. Federal prevailing wage rates apply to this project. The work by Contractor will consist of furnishing all materials, labor, supervision, transportation, tools, equipment and items incidental to construction necessary to complete the Project. Bidders are urged to have their bids in at least one day early since past experience with overnight delivery service does not guarantee next day delivery. The Contractor will be solely responsible for its worker safety and site safety. Award of the bid is contingent upon availability of funds. No Bidder may withdraw his bid within 120 days from bid opening. Time Limit - work will begin as soon as the Notice to Proceed is issued, following execution of the Agreement herein, and will be completed by September 30, 2020. Liquidated Damages: A penalty of $1,500 per calendar day will be assessed to the Contractor for each day beyond the stated time limits until the project is 100% complete. The owner reserves the right to waive any informalities or to reject any or all of the bids.
