Hyland Hills Park and Recreation District, owner and operator of Water World, 8801 N. Pecos St., Federal Heights, CO 80260 is seeking bids from qualified General Contractors (GC) for the construction of the new Summit Springs area at Water World. This project will include, but not be limited to the construction and installation of the following: MEP infrastructure including underground supply and return water piping, above ground supply and return piping to the point of attachment to slide stubs, landscaping, remodel and reconstruction of an existing steel tower structure, new metal shelter structures, concrete sidewalks,decks and stairs, underground concrete water tank below queuing structure, underground concrete water tank adjacent to filter building, below grade concrete Splash Pad, remodel of F&B building exterior, structural repairs to existing concrete sump/filter building walls, electrical supply for the area. GC will be responsible for all labor, materials and equipment to complete the project. Work is anticipated to begin September 1st. 2020, with the Lower area completed by February 1st. 2021 and work on the upper area by April 1st. 2021. Upon completion of work in the Lower Area, on February 1st. 2021, the Lower Area will be turned over to others for installation of the new ride. Liquidated damages of $500.00 per day for missing completion deadlines will be charged. Owners Tax Exempt Certificate may be used for purchace of materials used on this project.
