Renovation of an educational facility in Wilmington, North Carolina. Completed plans call for the renovation of a 57,730-square-foot, two-story above grade educational facility.
Plans call for improvements at the CIS Building. Scope of Work: 1. Replace existing metal wall panels with wood wall panels. 2. Remove portions of wall beneath stair to create pass-through to space behind and small study room. 3. Remove solid wall at stair and replace with glass rail and wood handrail. 4. Replace metal cap at existing glass rail with wood cap. 5. Install acoustical panels at select vertical surfaces to aid in sound attenuation throughout lobby. 6. Remove existing canopy and add two-story terrace. 7. Associated electrical, fire protection and mechanical work. Seven general contractors have been pre-qualified to bid this project.
