Metro seeking proposals for Construction Manager/General Contractor (CM/GC) Services for the Metro Childcare Facility Renovation. The selected Contractor will perform preconstruction and construction services to renovate the childcare facility at the Metro Regional Center at 600 NE Grand Avenue. This project involves a remodel of select interior areas to provide a safe, functional space for children and teachers and to repair portions of Metro property. Construction Dec 2020 - Jun 2021 Substantial Completion Jun 2021 Project Complete Sept 2021 This Request for Proposals represents the most definitive statement Metro will make concerning the information upon which Proposals are to be based. Any verbal information which is not addressed in this RFP will not be considered by Metro in evaluating the Proposal. All questions relating to this RFP should be addressed to bidsandproposals@oregonmetro.gov. Any questions, which in the opinion of Metro, warrant a written reply or RFP addendum will be furnished to all parties receiving this RFP. Metro will not respond to questions received after 2:00 pm on July 8. 2020. Unless exempted by the Owner in writing pursuant to the Owner's local public contracting rules, prior to starting Work under this Contract the CM/GC will execute and deliver to the Owner a good and sufficient performance bond, in a form acceptable to the Owner, in a sum equal to 100 percent of the construction portion of the Contract Price, and the CM/GC will execute and deliver to the Owner a good and sufficient payment bond, in a form acceptable to the Owner, in a sum equal to 100 percent of the construction portion of the Contract Price solely for the protection of claimants under ORS 279C.600. The CM/GC may develop and implement a prequalification process for particular solicitations; followed by selection of successful Offers among those Offerors that the CM/GC determines meet the prequalification standards, with the Owner's prior written approval of such prequalification process Liquidated damages will be $600.00 for each day that Substantial Completion exceeds the required date of Substantial Completion.
