Bids must be on a unit price basis. Prevailing wages are required on this Contract. The Director of the California Department of Industrial Relations determines the general prevailing wage rates CADOT - Roadway Excavation, HMA (Type A), Culvert Work and RSP Do not bid less than 65 working days and not more than 90 working days. The estimated cost of the project is $4,860,000. The CRZ will be established by improving side slopes within the medians to a standard 4:1 or flatter, with the desired slope being 10:1. The project will utilize existing material within the median to construct embankments. Twenty-five culverts will be extended to accommodate the fill within the median, five of which will result in permanent impacts to the streambed. The culverts will be extended toward the median. The pipes will be joined with a new drainage inlet (DI) riser. There will be a new flowline down the center of the median that will feed this DI from above. The project also proposes to widen paved shoulders to 10 feet adjacent to the number one lane where the southbound climbing lane (PM 39.4/40.55) exists near the Cottonwood scales to meet mandatory standards. No other pavement work is proposed. Approximately 290 oaks will be removed within fill and excavation locations. 541 trees will remain in the median while meeting the goals of CRZ for the project. 0216000044
